Women's Franchise

Women's Franchise was first published in 1907 by John E. Francis, owner of the Athenaeum Press and prominent member of the Men's League For Women's Suffrage. Initially, the newspaper was supported by the three main women's suffrage organisations: National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies (NUWSS), Women Social and Political Union (WSPU) and the Women's Freedom League (WFL). However, as these organisations founded its own newspapers: The Common Cause (NUWSS), Votes for Women (WSPU) and The Vote (WFL), sales fell and it ceased publication in 1911.
